O Rafeiro do Alentejo foi o nosso início, com eles aprendemos da maneira mais difícil, o quanto a genética por vezes nos trai. Foi uma raça que na altura em que iniciámos a criação, tinha passado por um processo de reabilitação (chegou a estar quase extinta), é natural que até à uniformização das ninhadas ainda levasse um tempo.
Chegámos a ter cerca de 15 exemplares adultos, o que para quem tinha na altura vinte e poucos anos e mesada, era um grande esforço económico (e uma grande maluquice!)
Continuam hoje sempre à nossa porta, não há quem nos guarde como eles, mas são de uma meiguice extrema para com os mais novos.
Uma nobreza e tranquilidade ímpar reflectindo o que é o Alentejo. Não abdicamos de voltar à criação activa.
Our beginning was with Rafeiro do Alentejo (Alentejo Mastiff), with them we learn by the hardest way, how genetic can be tricky. By the time we started the breeding of this dogs, they just have passed by a process of rehabilitation (they were almost extinct), so the litters were not very uniform.
We reach the number of 15 adult dogs, which means a great economic effort (and a little bit of craziness!) for a time that we were just university students and too young.
They remain at our door, there’s none like them as guardians, but very dedicated to our young boys.
Rafeiro do Alentejo is very noble and peaceful, like the region where we live, Alentejo. Somewhere in time we will return to active breeding …

Jinga de Alpedriche was our first bitch. This fabulous painting was an offer of Francisco Félix (A Rafeiro's breeder from Alter do Chão), was painted by him inspired in Anon's litter.
